Big Shell Island Sand bar is a fun place that is near shore. Picnic Island is down in Ft. Myers Beach, but is a great trip. We frequently also enjoy North Captiva Island.

The dog beach and the island in New Pass is awsome to go to...lots of sea life there too!

I'll be staying on Cayo Costa, on the souther end in a private home mid July.....where are the hot spots to go??  I have a 20' Tahoe runabout, not going out in the Gulf much but expect there are plenty of places to go in the ICW......I'm sure bunch of resturants on Gasperialla, Cabbage Key and back over to Pine Island....any special events around that time???
